Thank you for such a beautiful video and song. It really helps us sisters who wear hijab to see such a positive portrayal of women wearing hijab.
While I realize the video was about all women – including those who do not wear hijab, it helps to get the emotional space to wear it without being judged and ridiculed as oppressed.
My 7 year old daughter jumped up and down when she saw the the video.
I promised her to buy her the CD.
I hope you keep including women with hijab in your videos. I forwarded this video to alot of Muslims – and they too loved it but for some reason – they have not heard of you. Hopefully this new video will promote your music more in the US.
Asalaamu Alaikoum, I love this music, but insha’Allah I really hope Outlandish can make songs with no instruments in them, just only the duff, then it would be truly Islamic and I could feel good and not guilty for listening to them! Insha’Allah I hope they do! Because they are good masha’Allah.
